Donate to Help Bring Voile FM, 100.5: The First Radio Station of Ile-a-Vache Back on the Air.
Île-à-Vache is a vibrant island in southern Haiti, home to over 15,000 residents. The community is seeking US $1,000 to acquire a radiometer to help relaunch their first local radio station, Radio Voile FM, 100.5. I'm personally contributing $500 toward this goal and will take on the responsibility of raising the remaining funds with the backing of the radio committee.
I am raising these funds through ITIAHaiti, a 501(c)(3) organization in Haiti and the US. Our mission focuses on literary, socio-educational, and cultural initiatives connecting Haitians worldwide. Once I receive your donations, I will transparently send the funds to Haiti. In return, ITIAHaiti will be granted one hour weekly on the radio to promote its Haitian Creole educational advocacy efforts.
