I am Wilsonn Telimo Lwi, and it's a privilege to share my thoughts in this brief video about the recent developments in Okay, where we now have an international airport. I can return to my hometown from Boston, visit Jele Beach, explore Tobek, and enjoy Ilavach. This inauguration is a win for me and a tremendous opportunity for every Haitian in my network and beyond. It shows that we are not defined by negativity but are innovating and moving towards development. We have the potential to inspire positivity and achieve great things.
While we may be starting with a small airport, I hope that over the next few decades, we will see the growth of a more expansive airport. As the generation of our land, we need to take charge of our destiny and build on today's foundation. I acknowledge that beginnings can be challenging, and the path to achievement is rarely easy. But we have just begun! Those actions mark a significant launch and a promising start for our future.
For 221 years, we've celebrated our independence, and having those developments in our century feels historic. Okay is shining brightly; our diverse community knows how to thrive. We are not just defined by the darker narratives associated with Haiti; we are a blessed land with good people in Grand Anse and the southern regions. We are united in our identity as Haitians.
Let's all unite for a self-sufficient Haiti focused on education and progress.
