Wilsonn Telimo Lwi, formerly known as Wilson Thelimo Louis, is recognized as the first Haitian to translate his name into his mother tongue, Haitian Creole, after becoming a naturalized citizen in the United States in October 2024 to promote his intellectual identity and cultural heritage. Born on July 3, 1986, in Anse Hainault, located in the Grande Anse department, he is a Haitian-born poet and author who spent his childhood in the towns of Ile-a-Vache and Les Cayes in the southern region of Haiti.

From an early age, Wilsonn developed a passion for social activism and community service. He pursued higher education in public service, and we believe he is the first Haitian to earn a Master of Public Service degree in the US, graduating from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the State University of Haiti and an associate degree in communication and journalism.

In 2015, Wilsonn ran for Congress, facing targeting and discrimination due to his political affiliations and his outspoken stance against youth mistreatment, as well as his advocacy for inclusion and social cohesion. After seeking refuge in the United States, he found renewed motivation to continue his pursuit of public service and education. He firmly believes that education is the key to achieving one's goals and serving others.

Wilsonn is determined to use his education and experience to impact his community and beyond positively. He has taken English classes at Stevens Academy and the Hyde Park Library in Boston to broaden his horizons and acquire new skills. He earned a nursing assistant certification at K&K in Brocton to test his English understanding. However, his thirst for knowledge did not stop there. He decided to pursue paralegal studies at Boston University, where he gained in-depth knowledge about the legal system.

As part of his studies, he earned a certificate in filmmaking and video production from the Community Supported Film (CSFilm) in Roxbury, which has helped him develop his creative abilities. To expand his expertise, Wilsonn also completed tax professional training at H&R Block, which has equipped him with the skills to navigate the complex world of taxation. Additionally, he studied real estate at Freedom Trail Realty School and human services at Goodwill, which have helped him develop a deeper understanding of these fields.

Furthermore, Wilsonn completed court interpretation training at Language Connection in Boston, which has enabled him to communicate more effectively with non-English speakers in legal settings. He is also proud to be a co-founder and chairman of ITIAHaiti, a 501 (c) (3) literary, socio-educational, and cultural organization dedicated to reviving Haitian culture. Finally, Wilsonn owns THELIMO Services and works as a Haitian Creole editor, English and French translator, notary public, book publisher, photographer, filing immigration forms, and more. By constantly learning and adding to his skill set, he is well-equipped to tackle any challenge that comes his way.

Wilsonn has an impressive record of volunteer work with various organizations and causes. He has volunteered at Catholic Charities in Boston and for the Volunteering for the Development of Haiti (VDH), Alliance Française of Les Cayes, Haitian Red Cross, Health and Information Program (PSI-Haiti), and UNICEF. Wilsonn has also worked with the National Advocacy Organization for Individuals Living with Handicaps in Haiti (FHAIPH). He is a volunteer and founding member of the Haiti National Network of Young Volunteers (RNJV-Haiti).

Wilsonn serves as the Executive Director of the Haiti Institute of Technical and Professional Training (IPFAC). Furthermore, he has advocated for human rights with "l'Amicale des Juristes" and has hosted radio and TV programs in Haiti and the US. Wilsonn is also a co-founder and president of a political party called "ITIYAyiti," promoting the "KÒTAKÒT" (Side by Side) philosophy.

Wilsonn's broad range of experiences includes benefitting from some religious doctrines and knowledge from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is dedicated to positively impacting his community and beyond, utilizing his skills and knowledge to help others. Wilsonn is a dedicated Career Advisor who works for MassHire, a governmental organization in Massachusetts.

In his role, he helps people make informed decisions about their education, training, and career paths by providing free expert advice, information, and guidance. With years of experience in this field, Wilsonn has developed an exceptional skill set that enables him to offer personalized and practical solutions to individuals from all walks of life. Alongside his work, he is working on his Master of Laws and PhD degrees, demonstrating his passion and enthusiasm for his profession and education.
